We had a nice meal here last night but the overall experience was a little disappointing. On arrival, no one greeted us and were left to stand around in the middle of the bar area while the owners took their time to finish serving others. It would have been nice to have received a more friendly welcome while we waited. We asked if we could have a table that was available and set for two in the more lively bar area, and were told no, with no explanation. They added two more settings to that table and sat a group of four there while we were moved to a quieter side room. After a few minutes that group moved and we were not offered the free table we had requested, which sat empty for the rest of our meal. The food presentation is attractive, and we enjoyed the mushroom starter, but the goats cheese with pear and leek was not hugely flavourful. The fish and chips was tasty, but a little dry. The fish pie was lovely but a tad under-seasoned. The white chocolate parfait with cherry was very tasty but one of us found it sickly sweet. The sticky toffee pudding was more like a moist ginger cake - with no sticky toffee sauce! Service was lacklustre and frankly a little aloof. Empty glasses weren't collected and we didn't feel like the waiting staff checked in on us much. All in all, it's a pretty typical Suffolk pub-with-food, and the food is tasty and all home cooked. But its fine dining aspirations, sadly for us, didn't really deliver on expectations. We've been to many pubs in the area with tasty food and we found this one a little fussy and somewhat unfriendly.

Disappointing meal, We tried the food at The White Horse based on a solid reputation for good food and service. A warm and friendly welcome we were soon shown our table being December we choose the festive option of roast turkey The food soon arrived, Norfolk turkey, stuffing dry and tasteless, honey glazed carrots unglazed. Sprouts and chestnuts without any chestnuts and sprouts so hard you had to hold them down with a knife for fear they would fly off to the next table when trying to fork them. Roast duck fat potatoes were neither golden nor crispy. Any heat in the food was soon sucked out by the cold plates it was served on, Cranberry sauce had to be requested and pigs in blankets arrived as a side because the chef forgot to plate them up which summed up the total apathy chef had for this dish If a Toby carvery is your thing you would probably think this dish ok but would baulk at the £24.75 cost of this meal given the price the most expensive item on the menu we felt robbed The glowing reviews suggest this Chef can do a lot better sadly didn't turn up the night we were in

Had a lovely dinner here last night. We hadn't been for a while because our previous experiences had not been great, but this was very pleasant. The prices are a degree above other local 'Gastropubs' but the service and presentation were faultless and the food was delicious.

Lovely friendly warm and comfortable. Vegetarian option always too small compared to the meat dishes but you can’t fault it for flavour.

What an excellent lunch! Varied and sensibly prepared plates of delicious food. The chef's use of mainly home-grown veg and fruit was exceptional.

We have stayed with Neil and Gill many times over many years. We have always had a lovely stay. N&G are always so friendly and welcoming, the rooms (and we have stayed in most of them) are very clean and comfortable. The meals are delicious and all the staff are so very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend The Sibton White Horse Inn. We will most definitely be returning.

This is our 7th stay at the White Horse. We very rarely go back to the same places as we like to experience new ones but it’s so good here I don’t think we would risk it. I’m sure there are other establishments locally that are very good but this place is hard to beat. Neil&Gill run a really great pub and restaurant. The food is top quality and is so far removed from the usual pub grub. No massive piles of food just excellent ingredients cooked to perfection. We like to go bird watching and it is ideally based for RSPB Minsmere and other birding sites locally. The bedrooms are excellent with great facilities. The staff are really friendly and most have worked here a long time. Just read the other reviews and I think you won’t go wrong in booking here.

beautiful beautiful pub, with amazing outdoor area! Coriander & cumin falafel dish was average and tiny portion. Not worth the £18.25

One of the nicest places I have ever eaten at. A Tudor Inn from reign of Elizabeth 1st, one can easily imagine the generations of centuries past in there.

What more can I say than I have said before! This is a fabulous country inn in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. It is our go to place for a perfect 3 or 4 night break. We stay in Room 6 which is perfect for my disabled husband with a wet room grab rails and shower stool. The pub itself is wheelchair accessible. We so enjoy breakfast and dinner and this time enjoyed a BBQ out on the terrace. Neil and Gill are wonderful hosts and all the staff are now more like friends and cannot do enough to help. Room is kept spotless with tea and coffee making facilities and bottled water daily. Already looking forward to our next trip.

We went for a meal at lunchtime. It was lovely food and the staff were very friendly. Had a giggle with the landlord which made us feel comfortable straight away and then we relaxed and chatted and enjoyed good food. Definitely give it a go.

What a find. A real gem in the Suffolk Countryside. We spent the loveliest three night break in March. Thank you so much, Neil, Gill and staff for really looking after us and making us feel so welcome right from the off. The dinner and breakfasts were fantastic. All meals beautiful presented and freshly cooked. We stayed in Room 1 which was so comfortable, clean and warm. Great food, great ambience, great hosts and staff. Just a lovely place to stay surrounded by beautiful countryside. We will definitely be back. Vivienne and Kevin
